Bait-ul-Quran

Bait-ul-Quran was inaugurated in 1968 by Gen. Muhammad Musa, the then Governor of West Pakistan. It contains unique collection of manuscripts of Holy Quran some dating 500 years back. Bait-ul-Quran collection contains manuscripts in various languages including Arabic, Urdu, Pashto, Persian, Punjabi, Kashmiri, Hindi, Turkish & Gurmukhi etc.All the rare material, such as manuscripts are regularly fumigated four times a year. The section houses a large number of handwritten and printed Holy Qurans collected from all over Pakistan e.g. the copies of the Quran which remained under recitation of Hazrat Usman Ghani (R.A.), Hazrat Imam Jaffar Sadiq (r.h.), Molana Rumi and Tipu Sultan. Hand written Quran by Aurangzeb Alamgir is also placed in the section. Translations and commentaries of Holy Quran in different languages are placed in the section along with other Quranic literature.
